AAC: Nigeria’s 4x100m Men’s Relay Team Reaches Final

Nigeria’s men’s 4x100m relay team have qualified for the final at the ongoing African Athletics Championship in Douala Cameroon.

In Sunday’s semi-finals, the quartet of Alex Chukwukelu, Emmanuel Ojeli, Alaba Akintola, and Usheoritse Itsekiri finished finished second to reach the final.

Ghana won the race ahead of Nigeria in a time of 39.16 seconds. The final comes up on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Earlier on Sunday Ese Brume continued her dominance in women’s long jump as she won the gold.

It is her fourth African Athletics Championship title since landing her first in 2014 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Temitope Adeshina won silver in the women’s high jump final after the record holder cleared a height of 1.84m.

Ghana’s Rose Yeboah won the gold medal with a best effort of 1.87m.
