Euro 2024: England Sets New European Championship Record

England set a new record in the European Championship after a hard-fought win against Serbia in their Euro 2024 Group C opener on Saturday Sunday.

Jude Bellingham’s 13th minute goal was enough to secure the three points for Gareth Southgate’s men.

The win means England becomes the first side to keep a clean sheet in five consecutive group stage games at the European Championships.

The Three Lions held Slovakia to a 0-0 draw in their final group game at the 2016 Euros in France.

At the 2020 edition, they beat Croatia 1-0, drew 0-0 with Scotland and pipped Czech Republic.

They have now made it five straight group games without conceding following the win against Serbia.

England would hope to extend their clean sheets in the group stage when they face Denmark Thursday, June 20.
