Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand says he’s optimistic England can reach Euro 2024 final.

He made this known ahead of the Three Lions’ clash against Slovakia in today’s Round of 16.

In a chat with BBC Sports, Ferdinand stated that England’s road to the final appears to be smooth and easy.

“I have to say, if I was in the England squad now, and the draw came out like this, I wouldn’t be able to sleep with the excitement I’d have,” Ferdinand told the BBC.

“I’d be respecting all the other teams, yes. But to look at the other side of the draw and look at our side… Oh my.

“We have got the chance – the best chance – to get to a final. What an opportunity.”
