Former Super Eagles player and manager, Sunday Oliseh, has confirmed his suspension as manager of Dutch second-tier outfit Fortuna Sittard.

Oliseh made the confirmation via his official Twitter handle as he revealed that his refusal to take part in illegal activities at the club prompted his current ordeal.

Earlier reports had claimed that the former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been sacked from his post.

His tweet said: “I confirm: Due to my refusal to participate in Illegal activities at Fortuna sittard & violate the Law,i have been Suspended from my duties as Coach by the Foreign Owners of Fortuna.Unfortunate for the lovely fans, my players & our hard fought phenomenal positioning for Promotion.”
